I don't remember anything explained called "schema" nor "report"!! Did I miss a lesson?
The word schema in this context really just means a diagram that shows visually the design for the objects and their relationships in your app.
A report is just data. It could be raw data displayed in basic rows and columns, it could be grouped, summarized, with totals and subtotals, displayed on a crosstab layout, etc.
